Information for Buyers

What is ThinkSync?

ThinkSync is part of the ThinkLink accounting system. It matches order data from purchases made on-line and off-line, including line item (sometimes called Level 3) data, with ThinkLink personal and business profiles. In addition, ThinkSync allows buyers to attach other digital content to any transaction, from tags to receipt images to movie clips.

Why is ThinkSync necessary?

The tradiational payment card interchange system was designed many decades ago, when the top priority of payment processors was to keep long distance telephone calls short in order to avoid costly telecommunications fees. Since then, the network hasn't changed, and its exploding popularity has made it extremely difficult to upgrade. Newer systems like ThinkLink and FaceCash can store much more data, but most vendors have not fully integrated the new requirements into their systems. ThinkSync bridges the old system with the new by allowing purchases paid for by traditional means to take advantage of ThinkLink's more modern data storage abilities.
